Susan Harlan, Geriatric Care Manager, is committed to finding solutions that support older adults and their families. Working with agencies in San Francisco and the Peninsula, Susan developed expertise in providing assessments to clients and addressing their psycho-social concerns. She has taken many clients to the hospital for planned surgeries as well as unexpected visits and is comfortable working with the medical community.
Susan has a Masters degree in Gerontology with a specialization in Geriatric Care Management. She is a member of the Bay Area Chapter of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, and served as Co-Chair of the group for two years. Supporting multi-faith organizations, she is also a Stephen Minister.
Susan is able to translate communications among adult children and any physicians and lawyers involved in managing care of the older adult. With experience as a New Hampshire State Representative, she is comfortable working with government or other professional officials in Geriatric Care Management, such as Public Guardians, Conservators, Elder Law Attorneys, and Fiduciaries.
